2 raids on Dallas-area swingers club

DUNCANVILLE - A swingers club in suburban Dallas has been raided for a second time within days.

The owners of ``The Cherry Pit'' in Duncanville had been challenging 10 citations, related to operating a sex club and running a sexually oriented business without a license.

The Dallas Morning News reports the case set to be heard today in municipal court has been postponed.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and Duncanville police raided the home Tuesday.

Duncanville spokeswoman Tonya Lewis says a raid Saturday turned up an unspecified amount of alcohol, not listed in the initial search warrant. Authorities then secured a second warrant.

Cherry Pit attorney Ed Klein says he had not seen an affidavit over Saturday's search, then on Tuesday ``the TABC is busting down doors, having their fun with the place.''

Duncanville leaders last fall adopted an ordinance that bans sex clubs. Klein then sued, followed by the city's countersuit seeking to close The Cherry Pit.
